I awoke to find I was sleeping 

It was dark …but the room was light

I knew where I was and yet … I was somewhere else.

The Wordcatcher sleeps tonight. 

The Midnight Hour … May I escape?

I watch in awe as pictures come to life …

I read myths legends bold, poems told through the haunting veils of strife

Be love and war and hope and fear 

Be romance dance… Come! Spin the wheel o’ fate

Turn a page of time be an endless line 

Step through into cyber-space.

I see a warrior fighting demons … fangs to drool …

I see the jesters, performing fools …

I see a princess with magic wand … 

Quickly make a wish … 

Ah! A magic song …

 Tinkling wind chimes sway sleeps caught incensed dreams

The rainbow or the butterfly

Chase a sound! 

Clutch the hand! 

For a fist will never snatch the rainbow’s secrets destiny

And for just one day the butterfly flies free

Illusions fantasy.

Let’s all play!

Ride a moonbeam swoon by the starlight sway

Skip, fly by the light of the Milky Way

Spin around and dance … Now shout! …
