	James Potter	James Potter, a wizard that attended Hogwarts, was a member of the Marauders and helped make the Marauder's Map. His nickname was Prong, because he could transmute himself into a deer. He saved Snape's life, which causes him to hate James. He met his wife, Lily, when they were in Gryffindor house. They had one son, Harry. James refused to work with Voldemort and was killed when he tried to protect his family.
	Lily Potter	Lily Evans, a witch with dark red hair, attended Hogwarts. She met her husband, James, when they were in Gryffindor house. They had one son, Harry. Lily and James refused to work with Voldemort when he tried to get them to join his soul eaters. She was killed by Voldemort, while pleading for Harry's life and trying to protect him. It was said, by Dumbledore, that the power Harry has was put into his very skin by her sacrifice and love.
	Harry Potter	Harry Potter was the only son of Lily and James Potter. Voldemort tried to destroy him when he was a baby. Harry not only lived, but stripped Voldemort of his powers and caused him to disappear. Harry was left with a lightning scar on his forehead. Albus Dumbledor left him with his only living relatives, his muggle aunt and uncle, Vernon and Lily Dursley. They didn't take care of him either emotionally or physically.
	Vernon Dursley	Vernon was the Uncle by marriage of Harry Potter. They lived on 4 Pivot Dr. and were not happy to have Harry thrust on them. They were very against wizardry and tried to disfranchise him by denying magic and telling him none of his background. Harry was told his parents had died in a car crash. Vernon's goals in life include selling more drills, buying a vacation home in Majorca, and keeping things associated with magic away from his home.
	Petunia Dursley	Petunia Dursley was the sister of Lily. They grew up in a muggle family. Lily was a wizard. Petunia seems to be very jealous that her sister had magic talent. Lily's acceptance into Hogwarts pleased her parents. . She is very nosy and is always gossiping. Petunia keeps her home immaculately clean, cooks wonderful meals, and dotes on her spoiled son, giving him any thing he desires, but she starves Harry and gives him nothing.
	Dudley Dursley	Dudley was the only son of Vernon and Petunia. He was used to having his own way at everyone's expense. He had, until they moved Harry from the cupboard under the stairs to the small bedroom, two rooms. One was just for his toys, most of which he broke almost immediately. He was a bully and made Harry's life miserable. He was attending Smelting, Vernons alma mater were they seemed to encourage bullying.
	Marjorie Dursley	Aunt Marge, Vernon's sister, lives in the country, in a large house with gardens, where she breeds bulldogs. She has twelve dogs, Her favourite, Ripper, she takes when she visits. Aunt Marge abuses Harry and insults his mother and father, saying that they got what they deserved. She thinks Harry goes to St. Brutus's Secure Center for Incurably Criminal Boys, because Vernon didn't want to tell her about Hogwarts

Muggles	Non - Magic People
Piers Pokiss	Dudley Dursley's best friend. He would hold others with their arms behind their back so Dudley could hit them. He went to the Zoo on Dudley's birthday.
Mrs. Arabella Figg	Mrs. Arabella Figg was the lady Harry was left with when the Dursleys didn't want to take him with them. She was crazy about cats and had them everywhere. Harry hated to go there because, she acted a little mad, her house smells like cabbage, and Mrs. Figg always makes him look at pictures of every cat she ever owned.Mrs. Figg lived only a couple of streets away. She probably was part of the system set up to watch over Harry as he was growing up,
	Smelting School The private school that Vernon Dursley attended and where Dudley was also going to attend. Smelting boys wore maroon tailcoats, orange knickerbockers, and that straw hat called boaters. They also carried knobbly sticks, used for hitting each other when the teacher's weren't looking.
Stonewall High	This was the local public high school where anything could be worn. The Dursleys were sending Harry here until he received his invitations from Hogwarts.
